The "new" Dining Room

Our dining room has  changed.... and changed... and now this make THREE different "looks" for this room... yep, it's changed again...

But this time,
I am SOOOO in love I have a feeling the new look will stick around for a while:

I wanted a modern, clean look with a touch of tradition...

This table was my Dad's and since he is no longer with us, it is so special to be able to have it in our home! The chairs were purchased for $50 TOTAL from one of our awesome nattieMACK. customers!
(Before & after tutorial coming soon)

This is for sure my FAVORITE room in our house and it makes me want to de-clutter EVERYTHING in my house (and life for that matter)!

Of course I had to have a few pictures of my sweet littles.
I chose basic black frames and black and white images...
clean, neat and meaningful!

I got this hutch for FREE from a family friend who was going to trash it!
After a little sanding, paint, and new hardware, I ended up with this:

I love the traditional touch it adds to the room!

I also love how it displays my GREAT grandmother's china!

Of course I had to add old mason jars in the mix too!
(yes, I am STILL obsessed with mason jars...)

This buffet was found on the side of the road a few years ago!
I repainted it to give it a more updated look and added some lamps that I found at Hobby Lobby!

Of course the lamps NEEDED our monogram on them...

Using my Silhouette, I created vinyl monograms and slapped them straight onto the lamp shades!

This neat, old glass jug was Ross's grandmother's and I knew it would be perfect for our new dining room!

My mom gave me this old wooden crate!
(This is one of my all time favorite things EVER)

The curtains were made using old curtains I already had!
I had solid black and white curtains, so I just cut them into 15 inch strips and stitched them together, leaving the loops on the top portion to hang the curtains with!

I am THRILLED with the way our new dining room turned out.. and the best part is this entire project INCLUDING paint cost me LESS than $200!

*******************************************************************************
 Oh yea...
Make sure head on over to nattieMACK. tonight at 8:00 pm EST!
The first few nattieMACK. Original Fall 2013 pieces will be available for purchase and you will not BELIEVE the new, LOWER prices!!!

  4. LOVE the monograms on the lamps..I showed those to Brian just the other day when you posted them on instagram. Love them! and you are making me feel really bad about having a sewing machine in a box in my closet that has been used a whole one time!
