Labor & Delivery Nurse {Gift Baskets}

I thought it would be so nice to take a little something to share with the all of the nurses at Labor & Delivery and Post Partum! Nurses work LOOOONG hours and often do not get the credit they deserve, so it is important to me that they know how much we appreciate their hard work to keep Hollis and I safe and healthy!

I went to the store and bought items that are packaged and will last a fairly long time.

Then I made this cute printable, glued it to a popsicle stick and added a bow!

I found the baskets at Hobby Lobby for 50% off!
I think they were less than $5 a piece!
Then I added big felt bows to each basket!

Once the baskets were filled with goodies, I stuck the Thank You Printable in between inner and outer edges of the basket!
That way it can be easily removed and the nurses can use the baskets for other things later on!

See how they stick right in there?!

This was a simple way to say “thank you" to all of the nurses who will be taking care of Hollis and me!

I would love to know how you say “thank you” to the nurses who take care of you and your baby or other family members who are in the hospital!

We have 2 NICU boys, 2 different pregnancies, and we can’t celebrate Thanksgiving without thinking of our incredible NICU staff. We decided to adopt them as our extended family on thanksgiving. So we take a platter of goodies to say thank you for beIng aPart of giving us our boys.

Such a great idea! I wish I would have thought of this last time. I LOVED my OB’s nurse in his office I needed to bring her something just for putting up with me ;)

  3. This is such a great idea. We didn’t do anything like this for our first, we had an amazing labor nurse she was awesome. I’d love to do something like this to appreciate our nurses this next time around. Thanks for the wonderful idea!

When baby E was born, I made little goodie boxes for the nurses. I filled miniature take out boxes with funsize candies and chocolates and tied them up with some curly ribbon. I made sure my husband gave one to every nurse that came into the room over the course of our 4 day hospital stay. I was so glad to be able to give them to the office staff at the Drs. office too since I was visiting them daily for the week prior to delivery.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your pink felt bows!!!

As a long time labor & delivery nurse i think it’s fantastic you are doing this for your nurses. Gifts of food, especially grab & go snacks like that or gifts of use: pens, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, etc. are great gifts for nurses and they will love you fo it. Thanks for acknowledging the work of nurses.

As a nurse, I can say THANK YOU!! from nurses everywhere! Most people don’t realize everything that we do and some aren’t even nice to us, let alone recognize us like this! You are so sweet, Natalie!

I am a labor and delivery nurse and seeing this just makes my heart melt! Nursing, a lot of times, is a thankless job and to see this kind of appreciation to your nurses is wonderful. You have no idea how much that makes their day!!

You are incredibly thoughtful and, as a nurse, we thank you. It is so refreshing to see people who think of us, especially our patients. I had a patient, who was a teacher, and she gave us a big basket of drink mixes, snacks, notepads, pens etc and said she knows what it’s like to work and not get a lot of credit. It was such a sweet treat. Thank you thank you thank you for your thoughtfulness, on behalf of nurses everywhere. <3
