The Boy does STEPS & a surgery announcement!

In our backyard are these steps that have always been a source of fear and anxiety.

Until now.

The Boy decided to tackle the steps…

and he was thrilled to learn that he CAN walk down them!

These pictures speak louder than any words I could try to type.

So enjoy!

No matter how many times he goes down the steps,

his pride, excitement and pure elation is so big I just want to bust out in song and dance for him!

It’s beautiful.

I am so thrilled that saying “YES YOU CAN!” a million times is finally paying off!

Look what Cliff CAN do!

Today,

Ross, Cliff and I will be running through airports,
traveling back to St. Louis.

We will have a crazy week of appointments, physical therapy and

on May 10th, Cliff will undergo another surgery.

Starting today, this blog is dedicated fully to Cliff and his journey in St. Louis.

Get ready for daily updates on Cliff and all that he is doing for this entire week!

Please keep him in your prayers!

Here is the bible verse I am taking with us to St. Louis:

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them —yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

1 Corinthians 15:1

From James’s Grandmama, my heart felt your joy and I was cheering right along with you and most of all CLAY!!!! His face tells the story!! Clay and James are the two sweetest little boys who have faced such big challenges in their short lives!! I’m inspired and humbled by them both. MY prayers will follow all of you to St. Louis!! This surgery made such a huge difference in James’ ability to have a quality walk!! He is walking flat footed and taking such long strides all on his own. It’s like he got a booster shot!! I’m so happy Clay is having this surgery and especially with the incredible medical team at St. Louis!!
