Simple Ruffle Lamp.

Isn’t this Ruffle Lamp super cute?!
It lives in our playroom and I LOVE it, but it’s story doesn’t begin here…
123
I happened upon this lonely lamp shade sitting on the side of the road, just BEGGING me to stop and pick it up… so I did!
091
I spray painted the shade (surprise, surprise..) Krylon Catalina Mist.
094
Cut s strip of fabric 2x the diameter of the bottom on the shade in length and about 2.5 inches wide.
095
Stitch down the center of the ruffle using the longest stitch setting on your machine…
097
Pull ONE thread to create your ruffle.
099
Next plug in your hot glue gun…
 116
Hot glue around the base of the shade and…
117
Press the ruffle into place.
119
Then place the shade on a super cute base and you have a new, super cute lamp shade!

Don’t you love how changing something as simple as a lamp shade can give an entire room a “new” feel?!

Oh I really like that! I currently have a shade-less lamp that's been sitting in my living room for a month because I can't decide what to do with the shade! This is great!

I really like the fresh color combination of this lamp. It would be a great combo for other things, like party colors or stationary or a bedroom. And I completely agree that a small change like on a lamp can make a huge difference. Thanks for sharing!
