Shutter Necklace Holder!

By now I am sure most of you have realized that my new “obsession” revolves around shutters!
In case you are wondering “what in the world is she taking about” you can see the evidence here, here, here and here.
My latest shutter transformation turned an old shutter (that my neighbor threw out on the side of the road, of course…) into a Necklace Holder for my Many Buttons Necklaces in my craft corner!

When I found it, the poor shutter looked like this:

So, I took some of my favorite green paint and applied a sloppy, thin coat. Then I took a sanding block and LIGHTLY sanded the shutter in a few places to give it a authentic “worn” look:

I added an alligator hanger on the back of the shutter:

Then I added a super cute knob out of my knob collection and hung that bad boy on the wall in my craft corner (making sure the “shutters” were pointing UP):

I took some clothes pins left over from my Shutter Wall Wreath,  stuck them right onto the shutter and hung my necklaces.

Now I have a simple, fun way to display the latest additions to my Shop.

And when I look up from my sewing machine, I have some mad inspiration sitting right in front of me!
