Post-Op Day 5!

This morning Cliff looked at us and said “Let’s get outta here!”
And we did! Cliff was discharged from the hospital around 11:00am! Yippie!
I was a little concerned that Cliff did not want to bear any weight on his feet or sit up. I asked the Neurologist about this and the Dr. said that it is ok, he is just getting used to his new body. That made me feel a little better then he had his last PT session and Cliff did AWESOME:
He participated and could do most of the Post-Op exercises! He could never lift his leg like this before the surgery! Ross and I were in awe!
Cliff can now isolate his leg movements so well and can kick his “bottom” one leg at a time!

Cliff can crawl a little on hands and knees and REALLY move his legs!

Cliff FINALLY sat on the bench without screaming! He threw the ball and some frogs too!

And then Cliff stood at the therapy table and played trains with Daddy! We are so proud of him!

Cliff has come a long way in just five short days! Last Wednesday, I thought there was no way we would be ready to go home anytime soon, be he sure is! We fly back home tomorrow! Yay! I was not ready until after today’s PT session! Cliff is doing great and improves everyday! I am so glad our little buddy is back to his old self. We missed him! Ross and I are so thankful for all of your support and prayers! Please keep them commin’, Cliff has a long way to go!
This whole experience has bought us closer to God than we have ever been before! Ross and I had so many ups and down but we could feel the presence of God each and every second, he kept us sane and never let us lose faith. We feel God working in our lives on a daily basis and are so thankful for his never ending love!
