Master Bedroom Re-Do!

Ok, so without further adieu…
A little peak into our “new” new (because we haven’t lived in this house for that long) Master Bedroom!
This lamp used to be black with a tan lamp shade = boring with no color. I made these ruffles and painted the base of the lamp a very lime green! I like to go wild with something simple like a lamp because it is easy to remove and not expensive to replace when you get tired of it!

A closer view:
Here is our dresser that is now where our bed used to be. Why I put our bed there, I still cannot figure out… I guess I was exhausted from the move and having an infant so I just threw the bed into the Master and it stayed where it landed???
Isn’t the orange owl a fun, uexpected pop of color?!

Our bed is now in front of another set of windows which acts as our headboard! (I seriously could do a whole post about getting our old, huge headboard into the attic… geeez! What a disaster that was!)
I made these pillows for our bed! They were inspired by these at Make It and Love It and the flowers were inspired by these over at The Pleated Poppy. I love this fabric and was so excited to finally use it.
Aren’t they bunches of fun?!
And this was my “splurge” although I got it 50% off! In a lot of my decorating catalogs are these tall mirrors simply leaning on the wall in Master Bedrooms. I loved the look but not the price of the mirrors. So I began looking and then Hobby Lobby came to the rescue with this cutie:

Now I absolutely love our master bedroom! Before I couldn’t stand to be in there unless I was sleeping because it just was not “finished” looking, the bed was not centered in the room, the headboard covered part of the window, blah blah blah… I could go on forever, but I will spare you!
So there it is! My “new” new Master!
