Hollis' First Birthday Party!

Ross and I still can not believe that Hollis is ONE...

I mean really?!?!
Where does the time go?!

For Hollis' First Birthday Party, I wanted to keep it sweet, just like her!
I decided to go with pinks and yellow for the colors and no "theme" because I really wanted everything to be about Hollis!

I made all of the decor using my Silhouette and items I already had on hand!

Of course I HAD to decorate her highchair and make her a party hat!

She loved her party hat and actually wore it for a little while!

Tutorials on the party hat and chair decor coming soon...

I was thrilled with how our hutch turned out!
This was our first time using actually it for a party and I fell even more in love with it!

Pink straws and mason jars....
need I say more?!?

We served sweet tea and pink lemonade!

Of course I had to include a few of Hollis' favorite snacks...

Aren't gold fish and pretzels every one year old's favorites?!?

I added some of our favorite pictures from Hollis' smash cake photo session in pink frames and decorated the mantel:

It was adorable to see Hollis notice the decor!
She really got excited which totally made all the late party prep nights worth it!

Of course the most important part of the party was celebrating the first year of Hollis' precious life:

We are so blessed to have such sweet friends!

Hollis is our sweet gift from God!
We just adore her to pieces and are so thankful she is a part of our little family!

Happy First Birthday Hollis!

We LOVE you!

Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Baby Hollis!

Happy Birthday Hollis!
I can't believe that you entered this world one year ago!
...where did the time go?!?

You have the sweetest little spirit and are a pure delight.

Everything and I mean EVERYTHING you do is adorable!
Your Daddy and I melt when you do the tiniest thing because everything you do is just SO precious!
(Even when you are fussy or grouchy, which is extremely rare, you are still absolutely adorable)

You are TINY, so dainty and so petite!
You weigh 16 pounds and 6 month clothing fits you perfectly!
You wear a size "0" in baby shoes!

You love to "eeeeeaaaaaaaattttttt!"
If I am in the kitchen, it I know I have 5 seconds before you are at my feet I hear you SCREAM "eeeeeaaaaaaaatttt" over and over...
and over until I put you in your seat and feed you!

You are such a blessing to our family!
We are so thankful that God blessed us with your precious soul!
You are for sure our gift from God and we are so thankful for you!

Happy 1st sweet Hollis!
We love you more than words could ever express!

*Party details and decor tutorials are coming SOON... stay tuned!*

The "new" Dining Room

Our dining room has  changed.... and changed... and now this make THREE different "looks" for this room... yep, it's changed again...

But this time,
I am SOOOO in love I have a feeling the new look will stick around for a while:

I wanted a modern, clean look with a touch of tradition...

This table was my Dad's and since he is no longer with us, it is so special to be able to have it in our home! The chairs were purchased for $50 TOTAL from one of our awesome nattieMACK. customers!
(Before & after tutorial coming soon)

This is for sure my FAVORITE room in our house and it makes me want to de-clutter EVERYTHING in my house (and life for that matter)!

Of course I had to have a few pictures of my sweet littles.
I chose basic black frames and black and white images...
clean, neat and meaningful!

I got this hutch for FREE from a family friend who was going to trash it!
After a little sanding, paint, and new hardware, I ended up with this:

I love the traditional touch it adds to the room!

I also love how it displays my GREAT grandmother's china!

Of course I had to add old mason jars in the mix too!
(yes, I am STILL obsessed with mason jars...)

This buffet was found on the side of the road a few years ago!
I repainted it to give it a more updated look and added some lamps that I found at Hobby Lobby!

Of course the lamps NEEDED our monogram on them...

Using my Silhouette, I created vinyl monograms and slapped them straight onto the lamp shades!

This neat, old glass jug was Ross's grandmother's and I knew it would be perfect for our new dining room!

My mom gave me this old wooden crate!
(This is one of my all time favorite things EVER)

The curtains were made using old curtains I already had!
I had solid black and white curtains, so I just cut them into 15 inch strips and stitched them together, leaving the loops on the top portion to hang the curtains with!

I am THRILLED with the way our new dining room turned out.. and the best part is this entire project INCLUDING paint cost me LESS than $200!

 Oh yea...
Make sure head on over to nattieMACK. tonight at 8:00 pm EST!
The first few nattieMACK. Original Fall 2013 pieces will be available for purchase and you will not BELIEVE the new, LOWER prices!!!
